about me
My name is Edith Wyman. I am a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist, and I live and work in Acton in West London.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling granted by Middlesex University and the Metanoia Institute, and a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling by the Metanoia Institute. I was awarded a Diploma in Hypnotherapy by The European College of Hypnotherapy.
I am a member of:
- BACP
- British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
- BAPCA
- British Association for the Person-Centred Approach
- CS
- Accredited Member of the Counselling Society
- IPN
- Independent Practitioners Network
- GHR
- The General Hypnotherapy Register
As a member of BACP and GHR I support and abide by their ethical framework for good practice in counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.
As a Counsellor I work with adults, young people and couples on an open-ended basis both in my practice in Acton and at HYCS (Hounslow Youth Counselling Service).
As a Hypnotherapist I work with adults and couples in my practice in Acton.
I am also happy to see clients in their own home if that is preferable or more convenient.
I believe the value of therapy often comes through being able to talk honestly with someone who is independent and unconnected with your life and the issues that are concerning you. By being able to talk in a ‘safe’ place without judgement or prejudice, you will have the opportunity to explore your concerns and make the decisions that are right for you.
